Heather Langdon is a Senior Research Associate with the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning at Appalachian State University. She has worked in this area since 1992. Heather works with academic colleges, departments, and programs on their assessment and reporting efforts. She also spends much time on retention and student success research for Appalachian. Heather serves on several campus committees, including the Enrollment Services Council, Retention Management Team, and the Learning Communities Council.

Heather was an intern with the Policy Center in the last term of her master's degree in higher education administration at Appalachian State University. She assisted with the analysis of campus data in the pilot phase of the Foundations of Excellence project^®.
