Gerald Greenfield

Jerry Greenfield is Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor at University of Wisconsin-Parkside. His direct administrative responsibilities include First Year Experience Programs, Advising and Testing, Educational Support Services (Learning Assistance, Disability Services, and Trio Program), and Pre-college Programs and Grants. He also provides leadership for assessment, faculty/staff development, and new program development. He served as campus liaison for the Foundations of Excellence in the First College Year, and has overseen the development of several initiatives designed to enhance student success. As a long-time professor of history, he chaired the History Department, directed the International Studies Program and the Center for Teaching and Learning. He has received the university's Teaching Excellence Award and Distinguished Service Award, and has published extensively on Latin America.

He has presented at state, regional, national, and international conferences, in both his scholarly discipline and on issues in higher education. With a deep understanding of academic cultures and substantial hands-on experience, he brings particular strength to strategies and processes for implementing change, especially with regard to team building, resource allocation, and assessment.
