Chad M. Brown

Dr. Chad M. Brown is the Dean of Health, Public Service and Service Related Programs at Zane State College. In addition to his leadership of the division, Dr. Brown serves on the Team for Institutional Effectiveness, the College's Data Driven Decision-Making team, and provides leadership for three major initiatives at the College, Foundations of Excellence, Achieving the Dream, and Quickstart to College. Prior to coming to Zane State College, Chad served as the Department Chair of Health and Sport Sciences and was an Assistant Professor at Capital University.

Dr. Brown holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Ohio University, a M.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Capital University. His main research interests include student persistence of nontraditional students, particularly among the two-year college sector. He has presented nationally on this topic as well as project management and integration, and overcoming barriers to student success.

Chad is an avid outdoor recreationalist. He enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, and exploring the wonders of nature.
